Found it! Miranda's Designer Bag

A few days ago Miranda Lambert posted this picture on Twitter, showing off her new Stella McCartney handbag from hubby Blake.

Naturally, I became obsessed, so I tracked it down out of curiosity.  For a mere $1435, you too can own this Stella McCartney Falabella Shoulder Bag.

Gorgeous huh?  But quite the hefty price tag.  For a similarly fabulous look, you could go this route via MICHAEL Michael Kors for $328.

For the gal on a major budget, (aka most of us!) Try this one from Big Buddah for $71.
I can only imagine what Mrs. Shelton will be getting for Christmas, since this was just a "because I love you" gift!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

MIRANDA

Is it just me, or is Miranda Lambert looking better than ever these days?  Sheesh!

Okay, so that last one was of all the Pistol Annies, but they are all hot too.  But HONEY HUSH!  Success looks good on Miranda!  I can't wait for the new album to come out in just a few days!!!!

PISTOL ANNIES!!!!!

The Pistol Annies are here!!!

A further testament to how awesome Miranda Lambert is: at the very height of her career, she grabs her best girlfriends and says, "Let's start a band!"  AMAZING.  Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe are equally as awesome, and it makes me love Miranda even more that she is using herself as a platform to help her friends' dreams come true.  This is like the Spice Girls, but even more awesome.  Seriously, this music has some of the realest and most raw lyrics I've ever heard.  Themes include washing machines, drinking, taking pills, being broke, and setting houses on fire.  AWESOME.  You have to hear these girls harmonize...their sound is kind of like the sirens on "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou," in a very good, very awesome way.  The Pistol Annies have the guts to say things that no one else in country is saying right now, and I think the country music legends of the past must be very, very proud.

The Associated Press: “as much fun as they're having, the Pistol Annies address working-class issues in language as real and as colorful as their country music heroes, whatever the gender. This trio aims at a lofty target yet hits the bull's-eye, song after song.”

The New York Times: “the songs have the feeling of rejuvenative writing, small experiments in genre and style for artists versed in country’s classic modes.”

The Washington Post: “’Hell on Heels’ is a laugh-to-keep-from-crying-your-blue-eyes-bloodshot kind of album,” and that “it might stand as the best country release of 2011.”

Rolling Stone: "On the debut by their ad hoc trio, Miranda Lambert and friends Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley show off the kind of hard-living wit and hardscrabble class consciousness that have become tough to find in Nashville." and they gave the girls 4 stars!

Basically, I love love love this album, and I think you will too!  "Hell on Heels" is their first single, but I'm willing to bet their biggest hit will be "Boys from the South."  If I had to pick a favorite, I think it would be "Housewife's Prayer," or "Family Feud."  I love them all though!!  You can find their album at http://www.pistolannies.com/, iTunes, or in select stores.  GO BUY IT NOW!

Fun fact: We were in the audience during one of these performances in the "Hell on Heels" music video!

Great weekend!

So this past weekend was really really good! My best friend Annie finally got to come visit us, and see our house! It was so great to have some girl time with her; I miss her so much. She graduating in a few weeks and I'm so happy for her! I've known Annie since she was a freshman at SFA, so I kind of feel like I've seen her "grow up." My little baby! :) Anyways, she went with me to a music festival in Houston called "A Day in the Country", headlined by none other than MIRANDA LAMBERT!!! I got to have another meet and greet with Miranda, which was great because just a week before, she won Video of the Year for "White Liar", Album of the Year, and Female Vocalist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards! I told her I was so very happy for her, and we were jumping off the couch as she was winning, and she told me thank you very much, and that it meant a lot to her. I also told her I bet there was a party going on that night, and she said there still was! I could tell she was very confident and felt on top of the world during her show, and that was very fun to see. It was Annie's first time to see Miranda live, so that was exciting too. Backstage, I ran into two of the guys in Miranda's band, and got pictures with them as well. Sunday after Annie left we got to have lunch with Ben's parents, and it was good to see them! Then we went to Melissa and Travis' to watch the Talladega Nascar race before going to small group. A good weekend, which wasn't quite long enough, as usual!

Awesome red eye, Jess.

PS-Last Saturday was our 6 month wedding "anniversary". :)
